Top Ten: New Season Checks

You know when you’re getting a bit fed up with your winter wardrobe (all that knitwear and all those scarves!) and you start to look forward to what the new season has in store but realise we’re a long way off being able to wear tropical prints and neon piping? Well, I think that this is the time to move away from the block neutrals, greys and blacks of the winter and find a kind of halfway house.

Stripes are normally my go-to in between option but this spring, I am looking forward to checks.  Whether tartan or dogtooth, checks are that great stepping stone between solid colours and prints – not too daring but they bring just enough variation and texture to an outfit if you’re feeling the need for a change.
