The best 'ugly' winter boots
If I say the words 'hiking boot' to you, you may have flashbacks to a school geography field trip on Dartmoor and a packet of blister plasters but they've had a bit of a resurgence lately along with snow boots and have been a feature on the high street for the past couple of years.
So now that the weather has turned a bit colder and I've finally decided that it's time to ditch the bare ankle look, I've dug out the fur-lined boots that I bought from H&M last year (good news, they're in the sale now!).

They're the perfect pair of boots - practical enough for my dog walks but also stylish enough for a trip into town. I've found a few other pairs that also serve this purpose, some are leather, most are fleece or fur-lined but all of them will guarantee dry, warm feet with a splash of stylishness!
